Upgrade your failure-prone PCV breather hose with the high-performance, 034Motorsport Catch Can Kit, engineered for enhanced durability to capture crankcase oil deposits before entering your intake tract. The 034Motorsport Catch Can Kit isn’t just an upgrade for tuned vehicles - it’s a critical safety enhancement for all EA839-equipped vehicles.

The PCV breather hose on the EA839 relies on a pair of internal check valves to switch between ventilation pathways and prevent the loss of crankcase vacuum or entrance of boost pressure to the engine crankcase; however, these factory components are prone to premature failure. Once these check valves fail, they can no longer regulate crankcase pressure properly, potentially allowing hot oil to escape and causing serious engine damage, including the risk of fire. This issue can occur on bone-stock vehicles or vehicles tuned with Stage 1, 2, or 3 power levels. A development vehicle in our video Ashes to Asphalt experienced a worst-case scenario of a PCV system failure, highlighting the potential severity of this problem.

The 034Motorsport Catch Can Kit is designed to replace this PCV breather hose system with a re-engineered breather hose and high-capacity catch can to trap crankcase oil deposits before they enter the turbocharger inlet and charge the air system. This kit offers increased reliability of crankcase ventilation on the EA839 V6 at all power levels and an additional layer of protection over the standard 034Motorsport Breather Hose replacement.
